A composite jasper  is set in a relaxed oval shape. The copper band  relates to the color of the jasper,  and has cut out arches along its circumference.

This pin is a tribute to little organisms, eccentric geometry, and the work of the hand. The carved citrine is the focal point of the piece and reminds me of the life existing in even the smallest of things.

The inspiration for some of these pieces comes from looking at Early Christian Era jewelry. Stones are chosen for their color and character, and are in a cruciform arrangement. The pin/pendant is constructed and is built up on the sides. the stones are aquamarine, iolite (center) and white moonstone cabochons with freshwater pearls.

This beautiful stone is a fuschite with two slices of ruby crystals. It is like an abstract painting. 
The setting for this stone is a pin/pendant in stacked constructed layers.

sterling silver frame with
a textured background.

This work draws inspiration from early Christian Era jewelry, but is a reference to sweater pins of the 1950's. The bead elements of the chain are hollow constructed and are remainders of the tails from the beasts in the narrative works. The matching pin elements are patterned, formed, and intricately constructed.
The stones used are red and white moonstones, iolites, and garnets plus freshwater white pearls.
